Make a full version, dang you!

Make a full version, then submit it to Newgrounds, and I will watch it. 'Tis a great song. I've actually learned how to play it! I'm so happy. I like the style of your animations. Keep doing what you love, it will benefit us.

It's awesome and you know it's awesome.

This is probably like, my 5th time watching this movie. Loved it. You've earned your 5/5 out of five, sir, and I hope to see more of you in the future. One of the reasons I'm reviewing your film today is that I really want to know the tab for that song you play at the end. Actually, both of them, if it's not too much trouble. You see, for some reason, that song really fits the 'Soundtrack to my Life' too, and I need to play it in front of my friends so that I can annoy them (Not that it's an annoying song, it's freakin' awesome). I know it's a bit a late, but please, give me the tab as soon as you can. Thanks in advance, and keep doing what you love.

That was great!

I really loved the style of the whole thing! You really did a good job! I was very happy at the end! The animations were very smooth and I loved the music. The music is so catchy! Where'd you get it? Anyhoo, you have earned your 5/5, sir. Continue doing what you love.

Short but sweet.

Awesome man. Great job. I'm sure Mr. Gripp, wherever he may be, is very thankful for your creation. By the way, the song sounds great (Tab plzkthx). Best of luck on future exploits.

Two Thumbs Up, Five Stars and all that stuff.

You've got talent, man. Never have I seen anything on Newgrounds that was as heartwarming as this. In my opinion, you don't need anymore help, you should just turn it in the way it is already. Though, I would add a little, tiny bit of music. Just a little to fit the mood of the story. The animation is perfect, but I would fine tune the outlines and backgrouds just a teensy bit more. But, that's just me (And make the writing on the back of the picture a little bit more legible). Other than that, you've earned your 5/5, sir. Great job, and good luck on future exploits. I salute you.

ernest-aka-gooey responds:

Ah, so you don't think the ending needs a bit of work?
But yes.. I already have added a bit of music during the intro and I think I'm going to put some music at the end.
Cleaning graphics up is always a good idea too

Two Thumbs Up

I loved it. I haven't played this game yet (cause I don't have internet, and I can't download it onto my Wii) but the way you stylized it made it look really cool! You have earned your 5/5, sirs, simply because I know just how hard these claymations are to make. I could even see your thumprints embossed onto the clay! A sign of true work ethic! Good job, and I certainly hope to see more of you guys. Keep doing what you do.

Weird.

That is quite possibly the oddest thing I've ever seen. But, your character has a strange quality, which is something you should definitely take advantage of: The more creeped out I get by him, the more I want to find out about him. Good job, albeit the story was a bit... off.

Wow.

I must say, I was two things throughout your entire film: in awe, and fully creeped out. Wow. I've never felt such a strange combination of the two. Nice choice of music. Where did you find it? Wow, it completely matches the stories. You have fully earned your 5/5. Good job, and hope to see more of you.

Carbonwater responds:

All the music was found in the Audio Portal, except for Muse which I head in another flash movie and thought it'd so perfectly with this.

Great Stuff

I really like what you've done here. It was pretty nice. Now here comes the constructive criticism: The character Patchman is missing a little something. (Personally, I think you should make him a little shorter, because his face is a bit too juvenile to be placed on that long a body, but, like I said, that's just me.) Another thing, I know you were probably busy, and I know these things take a lot of work, but next time, plan out a good story to go with your character. Trust me, having a good story makes things all the worthwhile, and it makes your film that much more memorable. This one was a bit formulaic, but I know it's your first one, and you've done a great job. The animation is surprisingly smooth, which is very nice. Oh, and, make sure your titles introduce your character (i.e.: Patchman - There's a Visine for That) or something. To tell the truth, I still have no idea why you calle dit "Simple Pleasures"...) But, other than that, great job. I hope to see more of you guys and Patchman. Good luck.

RiverJordan responds:

This one started out as a lil joke with friends about the visine commercials, its called simple pleasures because having salt on toast is a simple pleasure, Patchman will continue looking the way he does because thats how my friend andy drew him originally and i promised i'd keep him the same, more of patchman in the future, and i don't want to call any of them with "patchman" in the title, its just a quirk :p

I hope that summed up everything in a single sentince, but don't think of it as me just rejecting your review. . . i see how it could come off that way but i really do appreciate the comments and i'll keep the things about the story and what not in mind :D

Great.

You get a thousand points for style. The music was pretty well done, but it was missing something. In any case, it was a fine film. It's kind of ironic how you used such a dark style to fit such a light-hearted tale. Light hearted, but good nonetheless. What was the deadline for anyway? What were you making this movie for?
